Engineering EXPO 2015 Branding
Event Branding | Fall 2014-Spring 2015
CLIENT: University of Kansas School Engineering
TEAM: Lindsay Pericich & Allison Pericich
MEDIA: Illustrator, & InDesign
According to the Engineering Student Council at the University of Kansas, “[the] Engineering Expo is the pinnacle of National Engineers’ Week at KU. With over 500 volunteers, over 20 student organizations, and more than 3000 K-12 students, EXPO is the largest multidisciplinary event held by KU’s School of Engineering. This event is student-organized, student-run and student-orientated. This is a time to showcase the accomplishments of the groups through displays, activities and competitions and show younger students what it means to be an engineer.”
The Engineering Expo theme for 2015 is “Engineers in the Movie Reels: Writing the Scripts for the Future”. For the design we used a Hollywood theme with the front of the shirt stating “EXPO 2015” in Hollywood sign lettering. The back design incorporates elements of Hollywood and movie making. Included in the film strip are the logos for each department within the School of Engineering. These branding elements were used for t-shirts, brochures, desktop backgrounds in the engineering buildings, and posters.
